Free Vue 6 Trial

Free versions of Vue 6 Easel, Vue 6 Esprit and Vue 6 Pro Studio are all now available from e-on software. They are fully functional version of the software with a few restrictions. Saving and exporting is disabled, render resolution limited to 640x480 and animation limited to 5 seconds. The trial period limited to 60 days.

From Dusk Till Dawn for Vue 6

Bruno Memain's wonderful new set of night time atmospheres is now available from Cornucopia 3D. I've had a chance to use them and are very good. There are two versions:

• From Dusk Till Dawn for Vue 6 Infinite, xStream and Vue 6 Esprit
• From Dusk Till Dawn for Vue 6 Easel

Vue Python Mass File Conversion Script Updated

Mark Caldwell has updated the Vue Python Mass File Conversion Script to include support for vob and it also now support the import of Poser files. The script requires the latest version of Vue 6 Infinite to run.

Tip: Swaping Z axis for Y

If you prefer Y to be the vertical axis instead of Z you can changed this in File -> Options -> General Preferences Tab -> World Coordinate System Box -> Y-Axis Up Check Box.

we are Axis Animation, an award winning and fast expanding 3d animation studio based in Glasgow, UK

Axis is currently busy on a range of projects for video games, broadcast and commercials clients and has recently won best short film at Imagina for MTV's Codehunters and a BAFTA Cymru nomination.

In particular we are looking for an experienced Vue d'Esprit artist to either work inhouse at our studios in Glasgow (or perhaps work remotely offsite) on several upcoming jobs from around the middle of may (flexable) to june/july this year - a longer term contract may be available after that point, but the post is short term freelance for now.

The work will entail generating sophisticated, realistic 3d environments including foliage and vegetation using Vue d-Esprit Xstream v6 in conjunction with either Maya or Lightwave based on concept artwork and directors instructions.

Applicants must be able to produce high quality work to a deadline.
