Ranch Render Farm Updates

The power of the RANCH has been increased from 1.1 to 1.22 THz an 11% improvement. You also now pay only for the render time: the setup, distribution, saving frames and compression phases are free. The project time limit has been reduced from 24 hours to 12 hours.

3D World - May 2008

The May 2008 (Issue 103) of 3D World is out now in the UK and includes a Tutorial for Vue by Ami Chopine on creating a Aztec inspired scene. Ignore the little red Bryce icon at the top of the article. All the support files are on the CD that comes with the magazine along with the magazine along with the usual varies selection of models and textures from several vendors.

There is also an advert for Vue with shots from "Discovering planet ice, desert, rock" for Jeep/Daimler by abc colorstudio.

I was watching the Battlestar Galactica episode Maelstrom earlier. The viper flight through a storm looks like it was done with Vue 6. It's season 3, episode 17 if you want to see it or you can see clips on YouTube.
