The latest issue of 3D World (issue 119 / August 2009) is now on sale in the Uk and includes a short tutorial in the Questions and Answers section on using Hypertextures in Vue to slice cross-sections through objects. A really neet trick from Eran Dinur that I don't remember seeing anywhere before. The files for the tutorial can be downloaded from the 3D World web site.
