Vue 8.4 Frontier Adds Native Collada Support for DAZ 3D Models

THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR DIGITAL NATURE CHARACTER RENDERING

April 06, 2010. Beaverton, Oregon: e-on software, maker of the leading solutions for Digital Nature and natural 3D environments, today announced the immediate availability of a new revision of Vue 8 Frontier, which adds native import of DAZ 3D models.

"The ability to import DAZ 3D models in the Vue Frontier product represents an exciting new option for users", said Dan Farr, DAZ 3D CEO. "Vue is a great complimentary application for surrounding DAZ 3D models with Digital Nature and producing high-quality, visually appealing, renders."

Vue 8 Frontier is designed for 3D enthusiasts to easily compose character-filled images and video clips. It provides powerful nature creation tools, together with built in Poser and DAZ 3D character rendering.

"We’re excited about the new DAZ 3D import features in Vue 8 Frontier", explained Nicholas Phelps, e-on Software CEO. "Our customers have been requesting this capability given the increasing popularity of DAZ 3D models and use of DAZ Studio with Vue."

Based on the Vue 8 core application, Vue 8 Frontier will import any static* Poser or DAZ 3D model (exported through DAZ|Studio as collada files). Vue 8 Frontier also supports the native shading tree of Poser, so that Poser characters and materials render correctly - with the added beauty of Vue's Radiosity and environments!

Vue 8 Frontier includes a free version of SkinVue 8 that adds the ability to enhance human skin realism. A VuePython powered utility, SkinVue 8 quickly and easily transforms Poser and Daz characters into vivid, realistic models.

Vue 8 Frontier retains the modular architecture of the 3D Enthusiasts and 3D Artists products, to progressively upgrade all the way up to Vue Complete.

* Import of animated meshes is available through the additional 3DImport module for Vue 8.
